Kalibaru is one of sub district in Banyuwangi Regency which located on the western Banyuwangi.Kalibaru is surrounded by range of hills on the western (Gunung Gumitir) and southern part which made it isolated long time ago.On the north Mount Raung (3.332 meter above sea level) shows its beauty background on landscape of these area.As a subdistrict Kalibaru devided into 06 villages Kalibaru Wetan, Kalibaru Kulon,Kalibaru Manis,Kajarharjo,Banyu Anyar,Kebon Rejo.Most of the villagers live from plantation and farming.There are many plantation which manage by private growers, stated owned Plantation or Private Plantation.Those plantations are mostly established in colonial time , so then some of foreign plantation name like Glen Nevis, Glen Falloch as well as Glenmore existed.Kalibaru's village looks different from other villages which most of its people live from wet farming.
